But hopefully I can help someone to make a decision on not buying a snooper sat nav.įollowing on from our phone call, I have notified the relevant department of our phone call regarding the DB8500, serial number M82J2449. Honestly I only have myself to blame for not reading the reviews. But again you don't know which is fastest because it doesn't take traffic into consideration. Only thing you can do is ask the sat nav to avoid the traffic. Yes it does does pick up traffic (when you have the Ariel in) but it doesn't take traffic into account on your ETA. What kind of sat nav needs an Ariel to pick up signal! Secondly no signal! All the time no signal, and they give you an Ariel to get better signal, literally without the Ariel you won't get any signal. Them you have to wait a week for the new memory card to come. I can buy one put it in my phone and it will last forever.

You ring them and they say it's the memory card, it's faulty!! Where are they buying there memory cards. I've updated the device once a month for the last 24 months and yet still issues.įirstly the screen just went black and it wouldn't load up, this has since happened 8 times in 24 months.

I've had nothing but problem after problem. I brought this sat nav 2 years ago for trucking ever day. I bought a S6800 ventura which cost £330 and worked well for 4 years until whilst out in motorhome it blew a raspberry and died.Upon advice from their tech help I bought a new car charger to sort problem. After fully charging at home took out again and the raspberry returned. After much personnel debate I bought the snooperS6900 which cost £300.This only worked for 23 months before a serious mapping error appeared and it shut down.Tech support advised that it needed updating and were helpful in guideing me through the process but it failed.I was then advised that as I had not updated the device every 6 months as recommended the SD card had suffered an issue and become corrupted. After an email complaint I was sent a new SD card.A wrong card was sent but replaced with an appology. However this did not solve the problem. It was then concluded that the device needed repair but was out of the warrantee period.I did not want to pay out anymore after having spent £630 on two sat navs both having failed.ĭon't bother.
